Marines Honor Fallen Fighters With Cross-Country Monument Run

Laguna Beach rescue center seeks big water use cut

Pacific Marine Mammal Center has rescued 16 elephant seals along the Orange County coast since March 5, a spike that may surpass last year’s 53. The center uses seven pools and five million gallons of water yearly, costing about seventy thousand dollars, with an upgrade planned to cut usage by about 90 percent.
