CPS confirms its downtown office at 115 North Avenue D will remain open to serve customers. The division office may relocate to a CPS site on State Sibways, but the local office will stay to handle bill payments and other transactions.

Mrs Betty Huse of Craw Falls Gap was officially notified of her appointment as postmaster by Joe B Bruning Dallas district manager for the U S Postal Service. The naming of Mrs Huse was among 20 appointments announced by Regional Postmaster General Carl C Ulsaker of Memphis Tennessee.

Four Killed Seven Injured In Bosque County August

Four people died and seven were injured in 19 motor vehicle crashes on rural Bosque County highways in August. DPS Sgt. J W Wilson said there were 137 accidents, seven deaths, and 55 injured in the county year to date through August.

Bloodmobile Visit Set for Thursday in Clifton

The Red Cross Bloodmobile returns to Clifton on Thursday from 12 noon to 7 pm at Trinity Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall. The drive aims to collect 120 donations in the Clifton-Laguna Park area, led by Rev. Ted Steenblock and local officials including Mayor Jim B. Smith and hospital administrator.

The Clifton Cubs sit 18th among AA high school football teams with a 119.7 strength rate in the fourth Harris rating analysis released to The Clifton Record.
