Fifteen Groups Recognized By Cancer Society
The Bosque County Unit of the American Cancer Society honors fifteen groups for support of this year’s Cancer Crusade. A total of 40 volunteers assisted in soliciting funds and 63 churches contributed educational leaflets. The fund total reached 3625 dollars with awards recommended by Mrs. T. N. Bosque County Commissioners voted to buy a Little Giant eight foot broom from Berry Bros Machinery Inc of Dallas for 1. Revenue sharing funds will finance the purchase. Clifton merchant Arthur Fletcher represented the firm. A second broom will reduce cross precinct transfers after a July purchase.

August bond sales in Bosque County totaled 920 108 according to County Bond chairman William B Bertelsen.
