Schiblers Celebrate Golden Anniversary at St Olaf
Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Schibler marked their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 15, 1968 at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Cranfills Gap Texas. Relatives and friends attended a reception with a bronze 50 centerpiece, a double ring cake, and a white carnation corsage for Mrs. Schibler. The couple's courtship began when Lenora Huse rode to confirmation class in a buggy and Bill Schibler rode by on a horse. They wed Sept. 14, 1918, at St. Olaf Jock Church east of Cranfills Gap. They raised two sons, Ray and Sherman, and have several grandchildren and extended family attending from across Texas.
