Clifton Fair Opens As Largest Junior Exhibitors Field
Clifton welcomes the largest number of junior fair exhibitors in Central Texas Fair history. The 4H FFA and FHA youth from eight counties compete in rodeos and exhibits while visitors tour Clifton stores and enjoy local merchandise. Invasions of field crickets disrupt merchants with odors. Extension Service warns eradicating them protects textiles. Lake Whitney drew 27,100 visitors in August, with Lake Lavon and Lake Belton following in popularity.
