Mercantile Style Show Highlights Clifton Civic Society
More than 50 women attended the Fall Style Show on Thursday September 5 at Clifton City Hall Dining Room funded by the Clifton Mercantile Company as the September program for the Clifton Civic Improvement Society. Mrs Dan Orbeck served as commentator and new Civic Society members were announced. The next meeting is scheduled for October 2 at 2 30 pm at Clifton City Hall with Norwegian Art and Craft to be the topic.

Bosque County officials and residents attended an aging workshop sponsored by the Governor's Committee on Cities and the Texas Agricultural Extension Service. Attendees included Bosque County Aging Committee chair Miss Margaret Rogers of Walnut Springs and Mr. Charles Reeves of Mexia, with Delmelia Plunn participating. The session aimed to plan programs for aging residents across Central Texas counties with high elderly populations.
