Civic’s Menu Is The Same For Turkeys In 1971
Clifton Civic Improvement Society keeps the turkey dinner menu unchanged for the Central Texas Fair. The 1 a.m. City Hall dining service serves baked turkey and dressing green beans parsleyed potatoes fruit salad cranberries pickles homemade bread meringue pie and iced tea or coffee. Adults pay $2.00 and preschoolers $1.00 with Civic members contributing 50 cents to eat. Net proceeds support civic improvement projects.

All Bids Too High For Low Rent Units

Two vehicle wrecks in Clifton claim 1 life and 4 injured
One person, Donnie Lee Patterson 21 of Valley Mus, died at 10 p.m. Saturday after a two‑car crash at FM 2602 and State Highway 6, south of Clifton. Clinton Michael Medley 4 of Bryan was hospitalized with facial lacerations and internal injuries. A separate Friday crash on FM 219 west of Clifton injured L Gauntt 52 and Frank L McCafferty 48 and a passenger. all treated at Goodall-Witcher Hospital.
