Officer Dodd resigns from Clifton police force
Officer Bobby Dodd Jr resigned effective last Saturday after two months on the force and entered private business with his father in Waco. He previously served with Gatesville and Odessa sheriff offices and Temple Police Department. The replacement must be a certified officer. A man arrested on State Highway 6 at 1:35 a.m. Sunday on two misdemeanor charges was fined and released by Judge W. R. Lively for reckless driving and fleeing a peace officer.

The Commissioners Court approved higher daily juror pay with grand and petit jurors now at 15 dollars per day, those reporting but not selected at 5 dollars, while jurors in justice of the peace courts stay at 3 dollars.
