Rules For Planting Coastal Bermuda Grass

Soil conservation guidance outlines steps to establish coastal bermuda grass. Plan ahead, prepare a good seed bed, choose suitable planting equipment, use fresh sprigs, keep them moist, plant in moist soil at about two inches deep, and time planting between mid February and mid June. Maintain weed control, mark rows, and fertilize properly while avoiding late plowing. Cautious grazing in the first year supports root development and winter hardiness.
