Lions Plan Light Bulb Sale Dec 10 Clifton Lions meet
At a regular meeting the Clifton Lions Club discussed a light bulb sale scheduled for Tuesday December 10 about 1 00 pm. The club outlined which streets each team would work and heard reports from the local FFA Lone Star Farmers and Gold Emblem Award chapters. New member M 6B Jameson was introduced and four new members brought in during the 30 day period. The group praised the youth support and the community and sponsor involvement behind the success of FFA work. Dinner was served by Immanuel Lutheran Church Ladies Aid.

Santa Claus will arrive at 2:00 PM Saturday in Clifton to meet youngsters, talk with them about Christmas wishes, and distribute candy from a well stocked pack. Lighted bells and stars will illuminate downtown from West Hackberry to West 15th and along several streets, connected to city lights and weatherproofed. Merchants have refreshed garlands and added new bells for the season, inviting visitors to Clifton to enjoy decorations and shopping during the holidays.

The deceased was aunt to Mrs Anz and Mrs Thiele. relatives from Clifton attended Dr Pepper Convention in Dallas en route home.

Funeral services were held for Miss Millie O. Bronstad 84 a longtime Clifton Public Schools teacher who died Friday at Goodall and Witcher Hospital. Born October 5 1879 she taught in Bosque County and Clifton Public Schools retiring in 1962. The service at Trinity Lutheran Church featured organist Mrs O R Jenson and choir director Mrs Chris Strand with hymns My Faith Looks Up to Thee and Abide with Me.

Bosque County Wins Approval for Emergency Feed Grain Program
Bosque County is approved to participate in the Emergency Feed Grain Program. County chairman Clyde Henry says official word arrived from College Station on November 21.
