Bosque Memorial Museum in Clifton hosts Sunday exhibit of County area paintings by amateur and professional Dallas and local artists from 2 to 5 30. Artists will be listed next week. The museum opens Sundays 2 to 5 with other times by appointment.

Bosque County unit of the American Cancer Society invites the public to a special program Monday at 7 30 p m in Clifton at the United Methodist Church Educational Building. Dr Don A Gloff M D will discuss care of the colostomy assisted by the Medical Committee and service staff.
Lt Governor Ben Barnes announced the Senate Interim Committee on Public Utility Commissions. Members named include Senator J P Ward of Meridian, H J Blanchard of Lubbock, Criss Cole of Houston, William YT Moore of Bryan, and Charles Wilson of Lufkin as chairman. The panel will study state commissions to assess a possible Texas public utility regulatory agency and report to the 62nd Legislature in January 1971.
The Clifton PTA hosts a Harvest Carnival Supper and Tennessee Tess program on Thursday Nov 20 at Clifton School Bettis Auditorium. Booths run 6 to 8 pm with hot dogs sandwiches chips pies and drinks. admission 50c adults 25c children. A Billy Musical Comedy in One Act directed by Patsy Ruth Lancaster features a cast of listed students and a long volunteer booth roster.
The Clifton High School Band will perform at the U S marching contest in Waco on Tuesday at 10 00 a m Judges include Johnny Bankston Katy High School Bill Dean Odessa High School and J R McIntyre Permian High School Other Class A bands entered are Mart Franklin and Whitney The band under Mel Cowan backs Clifton Cubs and performs at pep rallies and half time shows This is the first in a series of contests for the term The band has earned a third division rating in recent years and aims for a first division with hard work and memorized music Seventy five students competed for marching spots with others filling non marching roles including yard markers and measuring tasks Twirlers gave up front positions to assist in marching Everyone is invited to watch and a band contest film will be shown later to Band Parents An all star roster of CHS band members is listed.
Clifton Cubs powered past Whitney Wildcat 59 to 13 in Whitney to seal their 10th district crown in 14 years under Coach Aubrey Roberts. Joe Wallace led ground game with 231 yards on 15 carries and a 58 yard catch, while Whitney QB Jack Ryan threw for 304 yards as Clifton racked 484 rushing yards and improved to 15 straight district wins.
Officers and members will convene at Clifton City Hall at 7 30 p m Tuesday November 25. Agenda includes election of officers discussion of the 1969 Fair held August 28 29 and 30 and plans for next year s Fair.
