Mrs. Charles M. Isenhower becomes a Clifton Housing Authority commissioner after an appointment by her husband Clifton mayor. She succeeds Joe White who resigned, announced at the previous Council meeting. The council also discusses street name signs funding, re-zoning Lots 1-7, Block 4 Tyssen Add creating 30 duplex senior apartments. Cubs stay competitive with young lineup despite tougher season
Coach Don Hennig of Clifton notes the Cubs gave effort in most games, especially in four district contests. Injuries and lack of veterans limited the lineup as only one 1976 offensive and two defensive players remained in 1977. Bosque County Heart Association Cyclethon winners received awards during half time at Meridan football stadium. Fifteen riders logged 275 miles and raised 717.64 dollars. Mike Mayes won first prize a 10 speed bicycle and 103 dollars. Ted Derryberry Jr. won second prize a 25 dollar savings bond with 95.27 dollars raised. Terri Ann Ward gained third prize a radio with 89 dollars raised. Consolation prizes went to Tina Grimm Chris Allen and J T Powers. Courthouse renovation plan eyed for Bosque County Meridian
Bosque County commissioners consider a 30000 apparel for exterior cleaning painting and repairs for the Meridian courthouse. The plan includes lime stone cleaning window work hallways clock tower and downspouts with 1998 estimated cost for the downspouts. Clifton High 1966 Class Reunion Draws Nostalgia Night
The 1966 CHS graduating class held its first reunion at Womack Hall on Saturday October 15 with dining dancing and reminiscences. Attendees from Clifton and several out-of-town guests viewed old CHS yearbooks and newspapers, shared photos of children, and heard letters from absent members. Organizers include Mrs Brooks Mrs Spenrath Mrs Ficklin and Mrs Spitzer with plans for a 1981 reunion on the 15th anniversary.

Social security benefits for Bosque County residents total 646,329 dollars per month at the start of 1977.
