In 1884 Germanic families settled Bosque County's prairie area near Clifton and Lake Whitney. Zion Evangelical Church now Zion United Church of Christ has served the community for 86 years and hosts an annual sausage supper on Saturday November 26 from 6 to 7 30 p m to celebrate the heritage with its own meats.
