Game Warden warns landowners about deer and duck seasons, doe permit regulations, and new possession limits. Deer season runs Nov 16 to Dec 31, goose season Nov 1 to Jan 14, duck season Dec 1 to Jan 4. Landowners must sign hunter permits and ensure hunters carry them in the field.

Bosque County Animal Health Committee launches a petition drive November 18 23 to designate the county as a Type II Area under the Brucellosis Control Program. If approved a state team will test and vaccinate cattle with dairy and purebred beef cattle prioritized, and 75 percent of cattle owners must sign.
Lloyd L Turner son of Clyde and Mrs Turner of Clifton finished a 22 week electronics course at Naval Air Technical Training Center Memphis Tennessee He also completed a ten week Navigation Electronics Equipment course After Memphis the Turners toured Georgia visited great aunt Suzie Ragsdale and family before heading to Naval Air Station Sanford Florida to report to VAH 7 for deployment aboard the carrier Enterprise
Mr. and Mrs. B Halli and Mrs Lynn Foster of Dallas join Mr. and Mrs. W A Hall and children Ken ny Jeff in Clifton at the home of Mr. and Mrs Jerry Godby and sons Bill Jerry Don Tom my. B W Hall is the father and Mrs Foster a sister of Mrs Godby. Mrs Godby went to Teague to attend funeral services for her cousin Rufus F Hall Jr 16, who died the prior Wednesday.
Regular third Sunday singing will be held at the Clifton Lutheran Sunset Home from 2:00 to 4:00 p m on Sunday afternoon November 17. Everyone is invited to take part in the singing.
In Texas elections Saturday one constitutional amendment passed and three failed. Bosque County results show two amendments carried and two defeated. Welfare payments amendment passed statewide 301,312 for 177,525 against. repeal of poll tax 237,524 for 303,763 against. Jefferson County pensions 199,865 for 234,777 against. veterans land fund 240,944 for 249,104 against. Bosque County breakdown follows.
Clifton Band Parents Association approved an order for 70 uniforms plus majorette and drum major outfits from Sol Frank Uniform Company San Antonio costing 4973.60 with coats in green and white trims. Delivery to Clifton planned late January or early February and postage added. Funds raised 2050.00, leaving about 3000.00 needed. Next meeting set for November 18 at 7 30 in Band Hall. Marching contest at Bryan postponed due to weather. the group traveled Thursday for the rescheduled event.
Relatives report the death of Mrs Ross Helton age 82 years 2 months 17 days on November 13 at Memorial Hall Clifton Lutheran Sunset Home. Alfred Hardwick aged 63 of Meridian former Bosque County clerk and judge died November 7 at Clifton hospital after a long illness. Born October 27 1900 in Burnsville Mississippi he moved with his family to Medina then near Meridian. Survived by his wife Josie Marie Reesing a son O A Jr five brothers and four sisters. Funeral at Bristol Funeral Home Meridian November 9 with interment in Meridian Cemetery.

C R Hardison, now superintendent of Nocona Public Schools, is honored for inclusion in the 21st edition of Who's Who in American Education. His photo and biographical sketch detailing administrative roles and honorary positions will appear when the edition is released in December.
Clifton High School defeated Glen Rose 30 to 0 on Friday night to seal a perfect district record. The Cubs gained 222 rushing yards and 103 passing yards while holding Glen Rose to nine first downs and two Tiger interceptions. Larry Pullin led ground gains with a 40 yard keeper for the final score, as Clifton dominated despite rain prior to kickoff. The B team also won 30 14 at Midway on November 7.
