Perkins Receives Year Suspended Sentence in Fatal Accident
Bobby Eugene Perkins of Arlington was found guilty and given five years in the state penitentiary with the sentence suspended after a Bosque County jury verdict in Meridian District Court. The 24 year old admitted drinking before his car struck and killed Stephen Hennig, 16, near Clifton on December 14, 1963. He remains free unless felonies occur, with added penalties possible for future offenses. A Sunday three car crash at Crossroads west of Clifton involved Gustafson and McAdams families and several Coleman residents.
