Glen Rose upset favored Clifton High 21 to 6 at Glen Rose last Friday night to clinch at least part of the District 13-A title and a bi-district playoff berth. penalties plagued Clifton 136 yards on eight calls as Glen Rose built a two-touchdown lead early. Clifton High School National Honor Society Fall Meeting
The Clifton High School Chapter of the National Honor Society held a 6:15 PM fall meeting in the school cafeteria with a buffet for members and the faculty council. Kent Appleby attended as guest. Walter Hansen presided and outlined membership criteria based on character scholarship leadership and service. Senior members and juniors who were inducted were named along with provisional sophomores. Officers elected included Eric Swenson president Kenneth Holder vice president Shirley Amundson secretary and Marilyn Erickson treasurer. Senior essays were read with topics on character leadership service and scholarship.
