Felony Indecent Exposure Filed Against Clifton Man
A 24-year-old Clifton man faces felony indecent exposure charges in Justice Court after a Meridian 13-year-old girl reported the incident. Police say the girl and two others were in a parked car when the man asked for directions and exposed himself as she approached his vehicle to help. Mother of the girl pressed charges following the report. County Attorney Leslie Vance commented.

Governor Signs New Law Changing School Children Transfer Method
Texas parents may transfer children between public school districts without moving residence under a new state law. The Texas Education Agency outlined the plan in a May 26 letter to superintendents. The act, passed by the 61st Legislature and signed by Governor Preston Smith on May 4, repeals a transfer method in place since 1925.
