Hill College stage a charity concert for Alvin Spitzer Jr. son of Mr. and Mrs Spitzer of Clifton. The student suffered serious burns from a lab explosion and remains in hospital after skin grafts. His family visited Galveston and College Station during treatment.

County Receives Over 100000 From License Sales
Bosque County records show after commissions the county treasury received 100500.33 and the State Highway Department 51156.11 from 1964 registration receipts. A total of 8161 receipts were issued for that period. The 1957 registrations brought the county 447.54 and the state 29750.272 from 6823 receipts. Bosque County notes growth in vehicles and revenue with 1964 breakdown listing passenger cars trucks and pickups trailers and motorcycles.

Funeral services for William W Darden 62 of Meridian were held May 1 at Clifton Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Walter Gigstad officiating. Interment followed in Meridian Cemetery. Darden a resident of Clifton Lutheran Sunset Home since January 12 died May 14 at Clifton hospital after illness starting May 5. He was born November 13 1882 on a farm between Clifton and Meridian. Survived by son Enema Withrow Scottedale Arigna two nephews and several relatives.

Bosque River rose to 26 feet by 5 PM Sunday, flooding farms near Clifton Meridian and forcing a short road closure. Tank washouts were reported on Carl E Olsen farm and Mrs Edwin Nichols route, with undermined Fred Hall tank near Valley Mills. May rainfall dates indicate variable totals through May 14 to May 19.
