A brief note reports Fivatail of Teeloll visiting Security State Bank on Monday to conduct a financial matter with local staff. The spelling errors reflect OCR artifacts but identify the entities and location involved.
A lively house party hosted by Mr and Mrs L Stuart ended in a dramatic murder mystery night. Guests enjoyed decor and refreshments as a staged tale unfolded, culminating in a staged crime that sparked a real investigation as a dagger was found and lights restored.
Rev. W Culwell will fill in reg slar appointment here Saturday evening. The public invited to attend this service. Miss JB Parrish of Dallas arrived this week for an extended visit with her parents Mr and Mrs A Dana by and other relatives. Mr. Emimeth Law of Oklahoma spent the week here with the quank of 11 ayes. Quite a number from the community attended the closing exercise of the Gunter Hill school Sunday. Rev. Rady Lane who has taught three one s s f tornge try this school was elected to fill this position for the fast term of people. Mr Wade Turner accompanied Sry.IT, dy Cox and Miss Grace Mufield and Venta Leo Franklin to McGregor Sunday to visit with Mrs Will Chick who is quite ill with pneumonia. Wife. Re ME Tate viewed Tee TauR Aer, Mew. Dy Boston and family in Motherin Taih weeks. Mr and Mrs Kettler of the White Hall community visited in the home of Mr and Mrs F Klelbrink Sunday. Mr and Mrs PB Dunaby and tied Maria Poston were in Iredell Bass to attend the singing convention. Miss Chestine Yrankim of Jason Gnteeville was a guest of homefolka during the weekend. Friends of Miss Hos Lee Poston will be glad to learn that she won highest honeey in musical woneers held in Fort Worth several months ago. Mr and Mrs Otis Blo and Miss Stelle Vickrey were in Waco. Quite a number from our community attended NS Seeree ing.
More than one hundred members and guests gathered at the Clifton golf club house in City Park for a fish fry. Donations of fish totaling about one hundred fifty dollars were sent by Johnny Denton Milford Hoff Hector Bill Sanders Amnenton and Ed Strat 00 after catching them on a fishing trip to Don Martin Lake Old Mexico. The event featured social time and golf play and drew Meridian Valley Mille and other nearby locals.
August events outlined by Ray W. Snyder extend 4-H Short Course in College Station through county elections to select delegates for the State Demonstration Association convention. Future contests include clothing and home sewing with county winners likely to join state competition. Cooking school results and book reports noted. attendance figures remain to be announced.
A miscellaneous shower was hosted by Mrs Sinnet Langer on a Twassey afternoon in honor of Miss Dora Wiede, fiancée of Mr Monroe Kruse. Guests arrived to a white and yellow color scheme, enjoyed punch, and a program with poems readings and songs. The gathering included bridal authorship and small games led by Mrs Charlie Schmidt and Mrs Adolph Wiede.
Washington senator Tom Connally urged extending the 1 1/2 percent interest rate on federal land bank loans for farmers, warning against raising rates to 4 1/2 to 5 percent. He urged passage of House Bill 6763 to keep the lower rate and assist farmers in ownership of farm homes. The measure would prevent automatic rate hikes before July 1.
