Charlee Isenhower of Bosque between Clifton and Valley Mills was named the outstanding Bosque County farmer. Gordon Ginocchio, living between Morgan and Steiner, earned a certificate from the Soil Conservation Service. Three county men support soil conservation projects, though one is a non farmer, honored by the Clifton Lions Club and the Soil Conservation District. Eddy Perry Hospitalized After Auto Wreck
Eddy Perry a Clifton Crawfills Gap high school senior, was injured Monday night when his car struck a culvert near the Turkey Creek bridge. Joe Pierson and Mex Turner helped extract him, J. B. Darden transported him to Yoel hospital, where he received treatment for cuts and bruises and was X-rayed for possible fractures. The car was a total wreck and described as badly damaged.

Public Library Opens with Community Support in 1982

Clifton's hitters went on a spree and took two of three games last week. In Meridian on Wednesday Clifton romped Whit ney nine 17 to 8. On Saturday Clifton lost to Coryell City 4 to 2 as Charley Materkamp struck out 17. Sunday Clifton beat Itasca 17 to 4 with Don Holt homering and Roger Oliver collecting three singles. Bobby Jameson pitched seven innings, scattering eleven hits. Clifton heads to Tiasea next Saturday for a return game with Whitney Sunday May 18. League play starts the following week.
