Mrs Milton Brown of Clifton was elected as part time executive director of the Bongue County TB Association by the board of directors at the May meeting. Brown has been active in the association program, serving as sole chairman for the county for two years and collaborating on the Xray survey for the past three years. Mrs Albert Cummings died at her home in north Clifton at age 73. Survived by husband J Albert Cummings Sr and two sons Marvin and Joe Thompson among others, with daughters Mrs Karl Larmonnee and Miss Adie Cherry. Funeral held at Valley Mills graveside May 20, 1982, conducted by Rev Carl Jones. Also notes two recitals at City Hall Auditorium May 27 and 29 with Grammar School students.

Mrs Schminke 89 Dies Here May 17 in Texas Farm Community
Emilie Rachel Schminke aged 89 died at around 7:00 p.m. on Saturday May 17 near her farm home in the Citton area Mills Road. Born July 20, 1862 in Venitia Germany she came to America and moved to Texas. She married Casper Lehane in 1880 and had four daughters and three sons surviving. Funeral services were held May 19 at 2:30 p.m. at the family home and Ziet campsteal Church with German language confirmation and the Rev. OD blue officiating. Burial followed in the churchyard with grandsons as pallbearers.
