One hundred seventy eight residents petition Bosque County Commissioners to preserve the dam bridge across the Bosque River near Clifton by repairing maintaining painting and restoring it to first class condition. County officials note the bridge dates from 1884 and no action was taken.

Asst Publisher Improves After Second Operation

His first operation occurred the same day and a second on Monday April 25. His wife Katherine returned home last week after surgery at the local hospital and occupied a room near her husband.

A work day is planned for Saturday to ready Clifton base ball and summer softball fields. Volunteers should arrive around 9 30 a m bringing paint brushes for bleachers and concession stand. Valley Mills teen hurt in motorcycle crash on SH 6
A 14-year-old Valley Mills boy, Patrick White, suffered a broken collarbone in a motorcycle accident Saturday on State Highway 6 near Valley Mills. Pickup collisions injure Clifton man in morning crash
Clifton resident Homer Cecil Smith 1003 West Pecan St suffered a head injury when his 1970 pickup collided with a 1973 model driven by Edward August Kettler 712 Maple St at West Pecan and North Ave M at 8 50 a m. Smith was transported to Goodall-Witchie r Hospital Foundation by a police cruiser. The other vehicle sustained light damage.
