County Tax Assessor Earl Behringer announced the Meridian Courthouse tax office will be open all day Saturday March 29 for motor vehicle owners needing 1969 registrations. Bring certificate of title last year’s registration receipt and correct payment. Last year’s cost appears on the receipt and 1968 prices hold. License plates must be renewed by midnight Tuesday April 1 or drivers risk up to a $200 fine for 1968 plates.
