City and School Elections Set for Clifton April 5
Clifton residents will vote Saturday April 5 to elect a mayor two city councilmen and three Clifton Independent School District trustees. Absentee votes total six for city and nine for trustees by March 31. Voting runs 8 am to 7 pm at City Hall Dining Room with separate ballots for city and school districts.

Vehicle Inspection Deadline Set For April Fifteenth
Colonel Wilson J. Speir of the Texas Department of Public Safety says 42.2 percent of inspected vehicles need mechanical adjustments before an inspection sticker is issued. Misaligned headlights are the most common defect. The DPS urges motorists to inspect early to avoid lines as April 15 approaches. Texas has 5466 licensed inspection stations. The required inspection fee is $4.75.
