The CHS Stage Band, winner of Brownwood and Stephenville contests, performs a sneak preview on KWITX Channel 10 Monday from 3 30 to 4 p m. They host a concert Tuesday March 25 at 7 30 p m at Bet tis Auditorium to raise funds for blazers with 50 cent adult and 25 cent student tickets.

Two Men Charged In Car Theft And Arson Near Lake Whitney
Two Waco men, aged about 21 and 16, were jailed in Bosque County on charges of stealing and burning two cars and burglarizing four Lake Whitney homes. The Mustang and Buick thefts tied to burned Buick and Mustang tags found nearby. A pistol, a bayonet, and a knife were recovered from suspects as officers pursued leads toward Cedar Shore Estates.

First Baptist Clifton Banquet Honors Youth Leaders
Fifty youths and leaders from the First Baptist Church in Clifton were honored at the annual banquet on Saturday night March 15 in the Fellowship Hall. The event featured Sones and instrumentals by Alice Kitchens of Waco, with Baylor University’s Mike Richt as speaker. Andy Greer served as master of ceremonies and Dennis Poe gave the invocation. Menu items included smoked ham creamed potatoes green beans fruit salad hot garlic bread chocolate cake and iced tea. Rev Clay Burns delivered the benediction.

Lane Named General Chairman for Goodall-Witcher Campaign
