Gilbert Nelson aged 78 years died June 21 after a life spanning Norway and the United States. Born July 1857 in Loiten Norway he emigrated to Texas with wife Susanna Anderson in 1884 and farmed in Hemijne and nearby counties before moving to Clifton. Survived by daughter Olena Christenson and grandson Gus Christenson, funeral services were held June 22 at the Lutheran Church with pastors Lanter and Hoecomb.
