Mr and Mrs C N Singletary of Lake Charles LA visited Clifton relatives from Friday to Sunday at the Dawsons home. Jack Rogers of Midland and R H Sweatman of Waco spent Saturday and Sunday with the Bronstad family. Mark Whitney, son of Mr and Mrs B W Whitney, had hernia surgery Thursday and returned home Monday. Fielding Helm of Plainview and his daughter Mrs John T Miller of Galveston with children Evelyn Margaret Ann and Tommy visit Joseph and Dary Helm and Miss Willie Helm in Clifton. Miss Helm of Brownsville summers here. Father’s Day hosts included George W Anderson Wichita Falls O M Berry Fred McClenagan Houston J A Russell Dallas and families. Anderson Berry McClenagan are Swenson daughters and Mrs Russell is Anderson’s daughter.

Mr and Mrs Almer Gustafson and son Butch of Corpus Christi spent Saturday in Clifton with their son in law and daughter Co R Devaney Jr and family of Arlington. Cleo Jeanes of Houston visited with Mrs J A Jeanes and Mrs Sam Jones. Jeanes family members and Sandra Jeanes returned to Houston after clinic visits. Joanne Jones of Waco also visited. The Caldwell home welcomed Cholopisa Harvey and family from Fort Worth and Dallas relatives. Carl Burton Caldwell's children stayed two weeks with grandparents. Father s Day guests in Crawfish Gap included Burton Collins Janice, Melvin Anz and daughters, Ray Anz and children, Earl Curlee and Robbie Dyer, and James F Johnson and children from Stephenville.
P D Wallace, a standout Central Texas football player, has accepted a football scholarship to Kilgore Junior College in Kilgore. Kilgore boasts a strong junior college program and if Wallace maintains his level of play, conference schools may pursue him after his junior college career.
