County Agent Invites Dairy Month Ice Cream Event
The Association will celebrate Dairy Month by sampling its own products. Members are asked to bring a freezer of homemade ice cream. President Bob Wyatt asks members to bring wives and families. The Wakefield home lies two miles south of Meridian on the Clifton highway. Farmers may apply for the 2c Federal Gas Tax on July 1. banks and post offices in the county hold application blanks.

GAP Civic Group Cleans Up Park
The Crawfills Gap Civic Society met Thursday June 14 for its monthly meeting in City Park. The gathering included cleaning the picnic area and adding several new members. No July meeting. the next gathering will be in late August to sponsor an annual community supper honoring teachers for the coming school year.
Stolen Pick-Up Recovered North of Clifton
Police Chief Walter A. Golden stated a deserted pick-up was found north of Clifton near the Mrs. Ralph Helm farm on Highway 6. The Texas Highway Department tracked the license and O. A. Bates of Waco, who reported the theft, arrived to claim the vehicle. It was not damaged but had run out of gas.
