Navy nurses Dorothy and Pearl share long friendship and wartime service

Dorothy Hansen and Pearl Finis formed a lifelong bond in 1939 during nursing training in Galveston. They joined the Navy Nurse Corps in 1943, trained in San Diego, traveled to duty in California, and later married Texans after wartime service. Their story celebrates the Greatest Generation and the West Texas Honor Flight honor.
