Relay For Life Bosque County raises over 34000 for ACS
The 2011 Relay For Life of Bosque County raised more than 34000 for the American Cancer Society as participants walked twelve hours. Survivors were honored in opening ceremonies and the luminaria ceremony remembered those who fought cancer. A Clifton grad ers tribute to Alexis Enriquez moved many, and the Misster Relay Pageant raised over 500. Committee members and sponsors thanked volunteers and partners in making the event a success.

CTYF success in Clifton at Central Texas Youth Fair
The annual 2011 Central Texas Youth Fair and Rodeo in Clifton showcased judging from cakes to quilts and farm animals with hundreds of youths contributing energy. Started in 1931 and chartered in 1937, the event featured livestock shows and events such as exhibitors’ breakfast and a Saturday cash sale drawing large crowds and strong sales.

Antique tractor drive scheduled near Crawford
The Waco Antique Farm Machinery Club hosts a 14 mile antique tractor drive on June 11 in the Prairie Chapel area west of Crawford. First Choice Power team trains for Spartan Death Race
Four First Choice Power employees Jeff Schiefelbein Chris Smith Brian Mente and Dan Crosby form Clifton team training in Clifton Vermont for the 2011 Spartan Death Race. June 7 drills at Clifton High School included tires ropes bars and weighted carries with trainer Todd Clift and Coach Talon Clift. Mente 19 won the first run time while Smith 41 gave best effort. The Clifton Food Bank will receive a donation as part of the Food First campaign.
