New Board Directors Elected At County Cancer Society Annual Meet
Bosque County Unit of the American Cancer Society held its annual meeting May 23 1967 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church Norse. Rev John Ed Withers presided as president and new officers were elected including president pro tem Mrs T N Foster vice president Rev Albert Petrich secretary Mrs Jake Seljos treasurer Mrs M S Wilkins and medical chairman Dr Don A Gloff. Directors from Norse Clifton Womack Mosheim and other communities were named along with volunteers for fundraising and community outreach. Dr Henry B Hahn Jr of Scott and White spoke on cancer in children noting one in twelve children aged one to fourteen die of cancer and urging early medical visits for lumps unexplained pain and other danger signals.
