Mrs George Clemon of Valley Mills died in a Waco hospital at 1 20 oclock from injuries sustained in a two vehicle crash near Crawford shortly before noon Saturday. Funeral services were held Sunday at Turvoan Bible Mayerey where Rev A Miney officiating. Burial at Onage cemetery Coryell County. Miss Jane Standefer was honored at a courtesy coffee hosted by Mrs. L. Goodall and Mrs. Witcher in their home. Neighbors and relatives attended, with guests seated in a dining room decorated in red white and blue. Several junior and senior class members were listed among attendees, noting a formal neighborhood social event.
Clifton High School Band plans a street concert Saturday night in front of Community Public Service. All band members must report in uniform by 5 p.m. Curtis Pedemon announces the event and location.

Tellers William Grimland longtime Bosque County resident died Saturday at his Clifton area farm age 81. Born Brownsboro Texas December 14 1859 he lived near Clifton for 71 years active in the Lutheran church and local community. He leaves a large family including seven sons and daughters with many grandchildren and a sister and brothers. Funeral services held Sunday at the Lutheran Church with burial at local cemetery.
