Steven Bridger Steps Into Treatment Vat Accident
Steven Bridger nine year old son of Mr and Mrs Robert Barton of this city stepped into a treatment vat at the sewer plant near the Bosque River in Clifton last Sunday afternoon. He sank over his head and was rescued by his companion Roy Stewart. He was later treated at the hospital for minor eye burns and reported feeling fine after the incident.

Texas Highway Commission approved the biennial consolidated highway program for 1965 1966. Bosque County project includes State Highway 6 from Clifton to Valley Mills, with right of way purchase and reconstruction to widen the pavement. T H Ralph senior resident engineer leads the project. The plan aims to ease traffic growth and improve safety on Texas primary and state numbered highways. Upgrading two lane roads to four lane divided routes cuts fatalities by over 30 percent, with further reductions when access control is added.

He served a second term as Bosque County Commissioner for Precinct 1 and did not seek re election in the Democratic primary.
