In Laguna Park near Lake Whitney Dam on Saturday July 25 David William McBrayer 26 a Whitney resident and mechanic was killed when his 1985 Chevrolet pickup crossed the center line on State Highway 22 colliding head on with a 2008 Hummer driven by Troy Dean Fisler 46 of Clifton Fisler was transported to Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center in Waco and listed in critical condition with multiple injuries McBrayer was pronounced dead at the scene and his body sent to Clifton Funeral Home for arrangements.

Fire tore through private property off CH 1713 on Saturday after a pickup truck driver hailed as scat hit a trailer and trees and did donuts.
