First Aid By Passing Motorist Credited With Saving Boy's Life
A Valley Mills boy’s life was saved after a motorist attorney Wiley W. Stein Jr. administered first aid to 13 year old Scott Williams at the scene of a motorcycle crash on Farm to Market Road 56. Williams was taken to Hillcrest Hospital Waco in critical condition. The accident involved a 1969 motorcycle and a 1970 pickup towing cattle.

Rationing Not Found In Texas Gas Survey
The AAA weekly fuel report shows no Texas gas rationing after a harsh 1973 crunch. A telephone survey of 178 stations in 36 Texas cities found most stations selling fuel with no rationing or allocations. About 30 percent limit hours. caution advised evenings and Sundays. Nationwide shortages persist in Denver and parts of Kansas Oregon Utah Maryland.
