Hanson Stone Fence Featured In Progressive Farmer
Bosque County’s Hans Hanson built an 80 year old stone fence half a mile long five feet high two feet thick to protect his family from Indians and wildlife. His son Hans toiled five years gathering rocks and stacking them, creating a lasting landmark praised by Del Deterling in the magazine feature. Personal notes mention Mrs. Baldridge and Miss Kay Kincheloe visiting The University of Texas and relatives in Austin.
