Clifton's junior girls softball squad defeated Valley Mills 9 to 1 on Monday to claim the Brazos Valley Junior Softball League championship. They own a 10-1 record and head to the state tournament in Brownwood July 26 28 facing Brownwood in the first game at 7 pm. Donations are being sought to fund the trip with Clifton Lions Club contributing 100. Comptroller Bob Bullock said the Waco district audit program found 108 252 in additional taxes owed and collected 60 305 in June. Seventeen audits yielded 389 40 per audit hour, with 860 385 collected and 58 488 delinquent. statewide offices total 24.6 million in June with 2.3 million delinquent. combined audits produced 3.6 million in additional revenue. The Waco office, led by Delbert Hobbs at 616 New Road, will stay open 7 am to 6 pm serving Bosque McLennan Freestone Hamilton Limestone and Navarro Counties.
