Government to Sell 21 Million Pounds Sugar Surplus
Washington reports the War Department will sell 21,000,000 pounds of surplus sugar at a minimum price set by the United States Sugar Equalization Board. No exports allowed. efforts focus on buyers in states east of the Mississippi. The stock includes 14,000,000 pounds stored in New Orleans and 7,000,000 pounds in San Francisco.
