Sugar supply to be sold by government
Washington July 8 Sales of 21 pounds of surplus sugar now by the War Department have been authorized at a minimum price fixed by the United States Sugar Equalization Board. The sale may not export any stock. Efforts will target buyers in states east of the Mississippi with 14,000,000 pounds in New Orleans storage and 7,000,000 pounds at San Francisco.

Tokio celebrates the fiftieth anniversary of moving the capital from Kioto to Tokio and the thirtieth of its municipality.
