Annual Bosque Shorthorn Cattle Tour on July 11
The Bosque Shorthorn Breeders Association will hold its fifth annual Shorthorn cattle tour in Bosque County on Saturday July 11 starting 8:00 AM at the T P Coburn place five miles west of Blum on Highway 174 and ending at 3:45 PM at the Carl L Duke place north of Metoreger. A watermelon cutting follows at the Duke place. About 60 participants have joined in the past and organizers hope for 100 attendees. The schedule lists stops from Coburn to Duke with times and locations around Whitney Clifton Mosheim and Metoreger.

Larry Grimland 14, son of Mr and Mrs Allen Grimland Clifton, finished the first three week session at the Big State Baseball Camp at the University of Dallas Dallas Texas. He is a pitcher and shortstop and was chosen by coaches as the most outstanding player in the 14 to 15 year old group earning an engraved award. He spent the July Fourth weekend at home in Clifton and returned Monday to start the camp’s second session.
