The Chisholm Trail Centennial Museum will appear in Clifton near the Santa Fe Depot on July 10. The sand beige museum housed in a railway car opens 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is sponsored by the Tri-State Chisholm Trail Centennial Commission in cooperation.

4-H Riders Win in McGregor Show and Prep for Meridian
The Bosque County 4-H Riding Club won best uniform riders at the McGregor Parade and Horse Show with multiple trophies. Ten Wrecks Reported During Holiday Period
Bosque County saw ten highway wrecks from July 1 through 4 with at least two serious injuries. Edwin Ray Black and Louise Casey were seriously hurt near Hico when a 1962 Ford left State Highway 6 and struck a culvert. Other incidents involved Cranfills Gap, Meridian, Morgan, Valley Mills, Clifton, and Me ridian with vehicle damage but few injuries. One July 4 rollover disrupted REA and CPS power and released cattle. two minor Clifton incidents added to the tally.
