The couple, both government employees in Dallas, will reside at 5741 Goodwin after their honeymoon trip to Galveston and Corpus Christi. Ira Hampton Preston, 82, of Dallas died at Clifton hospital after a heart attack on Thursday afternoon June 23 while in Clifton to attend funeral services for W R New. He had lived in Dallas 30 years and leaves four sons, two daughters, six step-sons, a sister, 24 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Funeral in Dallas June 25 at Sparkman Chapel with burial in Restland Memorial Park.

Jack Hinton son of Mr and Mrs Henry Hinton of Valley Mills was hospitalized after a jeep gun carrier overturned on the National Guard parking area early Sunday around 12 45 AM. He suffered shoulder injuries and other bruises and cuts treated at the scene by Dr W F Key Jr and later at Goodall and Witcher Clinic Hospital. Jerry Callan of Waco the local guard unit driver was driving the vehicle a jeep carrying a 105 recoilless rifle Normally kept locked but lined up for an early departure the jeep rolled in a circle and tipped over pinning Hinton. he was reported to be up in hospital by Wednesday.
