Central Texas Presbytery Meets at Marlin
Reverend James H. Elder Jr. and Ruling Elder John W. Blewett Sr. attended the Central Texas Presbytery meeting at First Presbyterian Church in Marlin January 26 and 27. Sixty three churches including Wichita Falls Abilene Waco and Fort Worth were represented for elections to the 1960 General Assembly plan ship education and the reception of Reverend John McCord. Moderator nominee was Reverend James F. Garvin with W C Monroe as outgoing moderator.

Lincoln Ferris undergoes surgery in Garnersville area
Lincoln Ferris of the Garnersville community underwent surgery this past week in the local hospital. He is recovering well and returned home Tuesday. Mrs Barton Pederson and her father T S Tergerson visited their sister Mrs FE Wallace and Mr Wallace over Sunday and Sunday night. Mrs Ida Greer and daughters Ruth and Velma Brandenburg of Richardson visited Clifton relatives, Mr and Mrs John W Blewett.

State FFA President James Prewitt visits Clifton Chapter

Bosque County Unit of the Texas State Teachers Association held its second of three annual meetings at Clifton Public Schools starting 7:00 PM. A Valentine themed supper was served by cafeteria staff and first year homemaking students. Miss Vara Gladys Jones presided as group president. The program featured the Seventh Grade Music Class led by Mrs. O R Jenson with pianist Lois Nell Lammert. Guest speaker Miss Lillie V. Lillard of Tarleton State College spoke on Cuba and Latin American topics with students David Coe and Ray Martinez. Lillard also displayed crafts and dolls from Mexico and Latin America.
