Douglas Thomas Dies in Vietnam
Private First Class Douglas M. Thomas 22 United States Marine was killed by rifle fire in Vietnam on January 14. The Bosque County native, son of A A and Mrs. Thomas, was a 1963 Cranfills Gap High School graduate and married in 1963. His body arrived in Hamilton January 22 and funeral services were held January 23 at Riley Funeral Chapel, burial in Cranfills Gap Cemetery.

Marine Pvt. Thomas Killed in Vietnam After Patrol
Private Thomas K. Thomas of Hamilton died in Vietnam after 28 days on patrol in the Quang Ngai area. He served with E Company, 2nd Battalion, 7th Regiment, First Marine Division and had been overseas since October 1, 1966. Survivors include his wife, mother, and two brothers. Local services planned.
