County 4H Members Shine At Fort Worth Show
Bosque County 4H Club members excelled at the Southwestern Exposition and Fat Stock Show in Fort Worth. Derril Wenzel of Clifton placed fourth in Hereford Class on hoof judging, Glenn Hanson of Cresswell Gap won first in senior Shorthorn and then champion Shorthorn on hoof. Carcass steers slated for slaughter and carcass judging to crown breed champions and Grand Champion next week. Junior Livestock Show saw Wenzel fifth in Summer Yearling Shorthorn and a Senior Steer that did not place. Bennie Hanson fourth and Glenn Hanson sixth in Summer Yearling Angus. Four members to show five Shorthorn heifers next, results to come.

Mrs. Dillard Dies After Long Illness in Clifton Area
Mrs. T M Dillard of Lueders died January 23 at Clifton hospital after a heart attack weeks earlier. Born August 16 1876 in Kimball County she lived many years in Lueders where her husband died in 1935. Survived by five sons, one daughter, twelve grandchildren and three brothers. funeral January 26 at First Baptist Church Lueders with burial at Funston Cemetery. Attendees from Clifton included Mr and Mrs H D Mackey and Mrs Nona Diltz.

Norman Sinderud Dies Here at 58 in Clifton
Norman Clarence Sinderud age 58 4 months 12 days of 703 South Avenue M Clifton died Friday January 24 of a heart attack. He had been in ill health about six years and was found by his wife in bed. He had farmed many years and later worked for REA and a Meridian turkey plant. He was born September 12 1905 near Clifton and married Clara Knudson August 15 1929. They had two children Clinton and Yvonne. The couple lived on several farms before settling in their Mustang home in 1943. He was a member of St Olaf Lutheran Cranfills Gap and Trinity Lutheran Clifton.

Porchlight Canvass Falls Short Of 1943 Totals in Bosque County
Clifton residents contributed 268.93 to the 1964 March of Dimes Drive as the Bosque County canvass by a local National Guard unit proceeded. Last year Clifton gave 524.00 including schools and organizations. Countywide chairmen and school drives were named to boost fundraising.
