The Clifton Industrial Foundation held its first general meeting on January 9 and elected a 7 member board: Jess G Hammock Cecil F P Coston J L Standefer Jr Robert L Lane Leslie B Vance Mrs John D Fenn and C H Rose. The foundation has 112 members and 6300 dollars in cash with a 300 member and 50000 dollar three year goals. A special meeting was set for 10 am today to elect officers and plan future work.

Mian Jailed After Scaring People by Waving Pistol
Maurice Vereen of Cleburne was jailed in Bosque County on multiple charges including DWI carrying a pistol and assault with a prohibited weapon after allegedly chasing and waving a pistol at motorists on January 8. Bonds set at 5 000 for the pistol charge and 10 000 each for assault and DWI, he remained jailed Wednesday morning.

Clifton City Council approves new planning commission and disposal hours
