The Rev R H Wuensche will be installed as Grace Lutheran Church Elgin pastor at 3 pm Sunday. He leaves his six year post at Immanuel Lutheran and has deep ties in Cutten with a family of three children and advanced degrees from Concordia and Texas colleges.

Guardsmen Return From Germany On 17 Day Exchange
Jerry Odle of Clifton and five other Central Texas National Guardsmen arrived home after a 17 day troop exchange with the Federal Republic of Germany Army. The trip aimed to train with FRGA units, learn about German people, and foster friendship. They visited multiple schools and observed tank and infantry exercises, touring cities including Frankfurt, Koblenz, Bonn, Koln, Hannover, Munich, and the Volkswagen plant at Wolfsburg.

Two Teens Hospitalized After Highway 6 Crash
Police reported Alice Navarette 15 and Arnold Navarette 13 of 415 North Ave F were injured near Highway 6 and Hackberry around 6 20 PM Monday. Timothy Penney of Clifton was driving, saying he did not see the teens in mist and rain until in front of his car. Both teens were listed resting comfortably yesterday morning at Goodall Witcher Hospital.

Major R J Aars Awarded Second USAF Commendation Medal
Major Rallin J. Aars of Clifton receives his second U S Air Force Commendation Medal in Los Angeles for meritorious service as chief of information for the 67th tactical Reconnaissance Wing Bergstrom AFB Texas. He now serves as special assistant to Colonel Robert Cranston of the American Forces Radio and Television Service. Aars is a 1960 Clifton High School graduate with a BA from Baylor University 1964 and an MA from Michigan State University. He is a member of Alpha Phi Omega and Alpha Iota Rho. His wife Barbara is daughter of Mrs Barbara Zuehlke of Clifton.
