A series of burglaries affected the Brush Pharmacy and nearby premises including the Swift & Company produce house and the Cliftes Theatre. Entry was gained via rear doors using an iron bar. Cash and small valuables were stolen from several locations while some sites, like the Record office, reported no valuables missing. Sheriff Benson assisted in investigating the scene and securing evidence.
