Robert Covey Dies After Car Accident

Robert Covey aged 36 of Morgan died Sunday afternoon after a car wreck Saturday night while en route from Fort Worth to Morgan. He was alone in a two passenger car, hit cattle on a gravel road near a bridge, the vehicle left the road and pinned him beneath it until rescue at 8:30 Sunday morning. Doctors said multiple injuries caused by the crash led to his death. He had worked as a salesman in Dallas and Fort Worth and planned to spend the weekend with his parents. Interment was in Fort Worth Cemetery after services at the Polytechnic Church of Christ.

Lone Star Gas Wins Rate Fight in High Court

Dallas February 13 Lone Star Gas officials said Justice Cardozo of the U S Supreme Court allowed the appeal in the Texas railroad commission rate dispute. The case began in 1982 with five Fort Worth hearings, the commission cut the rate to 2 cents per 100 cubic feet from 40 cents, a federal suit moved to Texas courts, a 1984 jury found the rate unjust and enjoined enforcement, and the Third Court of Civil Appeals upheld the injunction and law.
