The tournament advances to rounds Thursday and Saturday with finals promised Saturday night.
Bosque County farmers are urged to file early for 1968 feed grain wheat and cotton programs. Signups run Feb 5 through March 15 at the ASCS county office. Chairman Jack L. They said several openings exist with flexible full or part time options and need for night shifts. A 24 year old Comanche County man was arrested this week in seven arrests tied to nine of twelve burglaries in Bosque County towns. He admitted involvement in five break ins including Iredell Cafe Oldham Grocery Morgan Dairy Kream Black Angus Cafe Walnut Springs and Rhodes and Tindall Hardware Crawfills Gap. Stolen property recovered includes a Oldham Grocery camera shotgun shells ammunition and a radio plus 30 30 and .22 ammo from Rhodes and Tindall. Earlier arrests included three men linked to Iredell burglaries and three Corsicana men ages 17 19 and 26 tied to Meridian burglaries. Sheriff Carr said nine burglaries are cleared with three remaining unsolved Clifton Cattle Company offices and two north county service stations.
